Press Release: Surex a 2017 Insurance Canada Technology Award Finalist
MAGRATH, AB – Surex is honoured to be a finalist for the 2017 Insurance Canada Technology Award, to be announced at the ICTA ceremony in Toronto, Ontario on February 28th.
The announcement and ceremony are part of the 15th annual Insurance-Canada.ca Technology Conference at the Allstream Centre.
‘’We are honoured to be on the shortlist for the Insurance Canada Technology Award,’’ Matthew Alston, Co-founder & COO of Surex, said. ‘’Our technology development and user experience go hand-in-hand. This recognition highlights both our innovative software and customer experience.’’
Surex has started 2017 by adding another back-end software developer, as well as a development operations specialist to their in-house development team. The need to increase the development team is an indication of business growth and a dedication to improving & incorporating new processes.
‘’For as happy as we are about our 2016, we’re expecting even more out of ourselves in 2017,’’ Lance Miller, Co-founder & CEO of Surex, said. ‘’Being a finalist for this award is a great start to the year. We are excited for what the future holds, both in the short and long term.’’
Surex's customer proposition allows customers to get up to 10 auto, home, tenant or condo insurance quotes in 5-10 minutes. The 100% transparent pricing model allows customers to see which companies are willing to take on their business, and at what price. From there, the customer’s personal broker will contact them to verify their quote and make sure they’re getting all the discounts available to them. Customers then sign for their insurance through e-signature and have access to instant proof of insurance.
Having introduced Canada to an industry-leading quote and purchase process for tenant and condo insurance in 2016, Surex will be doing likewise with commercial insurance in 2017. Currently, Surex is working on a platform tailored to insuring small businesses in an efficient manner.
